What are you giving your life to? John Lennon said it like this in his Christmas song…so this is Christmas and what have you done? We are all giving our lives away to something…work, family, the pursuit of health, financial gain, the respect of others. What are you giving your life to?

Christmas songs are tools in the hand of the Spirit to drive faith into our hearts, and tools in our hands to drive faith into the hearts of others.

What does the automobile have to do with discipleship in the church? You may think, “Nothing?” but it had a huge impact on every facet of the mo life... including discipleship!

The image of Jesus as our Shepherd has been a source of comfort for Christians for millennia. It’s a picture that reminds us ultimate comfort is not in outcomes or results but rests in surrendering to Jesus’ authority.

The church is God’s Plan A, and there is no Plan B. Contentment means that no aid or support is needed; so that means that something is complete. The Bible calls us to contentment in Christ, and nothing else. Is that hard for anyone?

Our individual Gospel stories are evidence of God’s overwhelming grace. What’s your story? Have you shared it?

When someone interacts with the church, they should experience a community that looks different than what they see in the world. Many people have committed to Christ, just not the church and there are usually some tell-tale signs on why.

Sex can be an extremely powerful gift from God, but it can absolutely destroy you if you underestimate its power. Sex outside of marriage can destroy both the body and soul and the Bible has plenty to say in Proverbs 5 about it.

What do you do in the face of adversity? Do you run away or face it head-on? We are all passionate about causes but when it comes down to it, do we do anything to support them?

We all have awe of something. We are all hardwired to seek out what satisfies us, pleases us, gives us our identity, and makes us happy. But what happens when it’s not our creator?

Our words are SO powerful. Proverbs says that “death and life are in the power of the tongue.” That’s a pretty bold statement and a powerful reality. Our words either give life or take life. How can we use our words to give life on a daily basis?
